In a familiar tale for Lithuania, Zalgiris Kaunas secures the King Mindaugas Cup for the fifth consecutive time.
Andrea Trinchieri’s squad comfortably defeated 7bet-Lietkabelis in the grand final with an 86-70 victory, marking the Italian tactician’s first piece of silverware on the Lithuanian champions’ bench.
Leading the winning side was Keenan Evans with 16 points, while Laurynas Birutis, Tomas Dimsa, and Brady Manek each contributed 12 points.
For the team coached by Nenad Canak, Deividas Sirvydis scored 15 points, Gediminas Orelik showcased a solid all-around performance with 13 points, eight assists, and five rebounds, and Djordje Gagic added 11 points, with Vytenis Lipkevicius chipping in 10 points along with seven rebounds.
Since the introduction of the King Mindaugas Cup on December 1, 2015, Zalgiris has claimed the title on seven different occasions, missing out only twice.
