Winning on the road in Jerusalem to start the Israeli Winner League Semi-Finals seemed like a cool plan for Maccabi Tel Aviv, and they delivered by bringing home an important 89-82 success.

Bonzie Colson, Tamir Blatt, and Jasiel Rivero all contributed to their team’s success by scoring 16 points each, while Roman Sorkin added 14 points in Oded Kattash’s club’s victory.

Josh Nebo, who eventually wasn’t called up by Slovenia for the upcoming FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Slovenia, had 11 points and 6 rebounds for the yellow-and-blue Israeli powerhouse.

On the home and losing side, Khadeen Carrington exploded for a 24-point losing effort, shooting 8/16 from the field and 5/5 at the charity stripe. Speedy Smith also had a good showing with 20 points and 6 assists, but eventually also recorded 6 turnovers.

In the other Semi-Finals of the Winner League, Hapoel Tel Aviv will go up against Kyriat Ata.
