Maccabi Tel Aviv beat archrival Hapoel Tel Aviv 84 – 76 in Game 1 of the Israeli Winner League best-of-three Final series. Game 2 will be hosted by Hapoel Saturday (15/6).
Bonzie Colson had 18 points and seven rebounds while Josh Nebo contributed 15 points and nine boards for a Maccabi team that outplayed Hapoel 24 – 16 in the fourth period to get the win. Jasiel Rivero added 12 points plus six rebounds and Lorenzo Brown dished out eight assists to go with his eight points.
Xavier Munford led Hapoel with 20 points while Jaylen Hoard posted 15 points and 11 rebounds.
