Alen Smailagic fuels a fourth straight win for Zalgiris

In a fourth consecutive win between the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Lithuania’s Betsafe LKL, Zalgiris dominated Neptunas, 91-75, in Zalgirio Arena on Sunday.

After scoring eight points in the second quarter, Alen Smailagic extended a solid showing into the fourth quarter and ended up with a team-high 19 points, falling one point shy of his best scoring showing in the 2024-25 campaign.

Deividas Sirvydis followed with 13 points, Laurynas Birutis chipped in 11 points, and Lukas Lekavicius added ten more points.

The team coached by Andrea Trinchieri improved to 10-2 in the Regular Season of the domestic league. Lonnie Walker IV threw in eight points behind 3/5 field goals and three assists. Sylvain Francisco was held to six points but shared a team-high five assists with captain Edgaras Ulanovas.

Besides Tomas Dimsa recovering from shoulder surgery, Bryant Dunston and Dovydas Giedraitis were ruled out due to injuries.

On the losing end, Tomas Pavelka logged a game-high 20 points, a new individual best for the 2024-25 campaign.

Citadele KMT draw

During the game in Kaunas, a draw decided the Quarterfinals matchups of the Citadele KMT. Defending champion Zalgiris will take on Siauliai-Casino Admiral.
