Thirteen domestic wins in a row for Zalgiris, including 11 in the Betsafe LKL Regular Season

The latest dominating display for Zalgiris in the Betsafe LKL Regular Season translated into a 111-81 victory versus Siauliai-Casino Admiral, improving the W-L tally in Lithuania’s top-flight division to 16-2 behind an 11th straight win.

Counting two wins en route to the Final Four of Lithuania’s Citadele KMT, the team coached by Andrea Trinchieri extended the domestic streak to 13 games.

Six double-digit scorers fueled a brilliant offensive showing in Zalgirio Arena, including Alen Smailagic pouring in 16 points with 5/5 field goals and dishing out five in a team total of 32 assists, besides also registering six rebounds, two steals, and one block.

Marching over the opposite defense, confirming a commanding lead in the fourth quarter, Laurynas Birutis finished with 15 points. Matt Mitchell threw in 11 points, while Ignas Brazdeikis, Lonnie Walker IV, and Lukas Lekavicius contributed ten points each.

Bryant Dunston was ruled out alongside Tomas Dimsa (shoulder surgery) and Dovydas Giedraitis (knee).

On the wrong end of one-way traffic, Gerry Blakes netted a game-high 22 points.

On Saturday, Rytas defeated Wolves Twinsbet, 88-84. The visiting side in Twinsbet Arena jumped to 15-3, pushing the losing side to 11-6.
