After mishandling an early 14-point cushion, Zalgiris edged out Uniclub Bet-Juventus, 84-81, in overtime on Sunday.

Newcomer Isaiah Wong checked in midway through the second quarter, following the biggest lead for the team coached by Andrea Trinchieri. Lasting seven minutes in his debut with the Kaunas outfit, the 24-year-old combo guard scored ten points behind 4/6 field goals.

Sylvain Francisco put in five of his 11 points in the extra period, including a triple to break a tie in the dying seconds of the nail-biter in Zalgirio Arena, besides adding a game-high seven assists. Helping his side improve to 17-2 in Lithuania’s Betsafe LKL Regular Season, Alen Smailagic registered a team-high 19 points. Additional double-digit scoring contributions featured Dovydas Giedraitis and Deividas Sirvydis chipping in 11 points each.

In addition to Lukas Lekavicius dealing with a groin injury, Bryant Dunston and Arnas Butkevicius were rested before a road game against Baskonia in Round 28 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season on Thursday. Cleared from right foot pain and entering the starting lineup, San Diego State product Matt Mitchell played for only nine minutes and tallied two points, one rebound, and one assist.

On the wrong end, the team guided by Vytautas Buzas fell to 10-9, despite a game-high 21 points by Laurynas Beliauskas.

Jumping to 16-3 on Saturday, Rytas edged out Nevezis-Optibet, 99-98, in Active Vilnius Arena.
