Lietkabelis got the biggest upset in the premiere of the Lithuanian LKL league and defending champs Zalgiris Kaunas was the victim.
Lietkabelis got the 90-86 after leading 52-39 in halftime. Zalgiris made the come back, got twice a one point lead (68-67, 81-80) but the hosts closed the game the right way and started their season with the biggest possible win in Lithuania.
Ksistof Lavrinovic who signed with the Eurocup competing team had 14 points, while Arturas Milankis scored 18 points for Zalgiris, Paulius Jankunas added 13 and Leo Westermann had 12.
