Maccabi took down Hapoel Holon 78–73 and improved to a 11–3 record in the Israeli League.
Gal Mekel led the winners with 22 points and 6 rebounds, Sylven Landesberg had 14, Colton Iverson tipped 13 along with 8 rebounds and Sonny Weems added 12 more.
While Ainars Bagatskis’ team struggled at first, allowing short leads to Holon, at halftime the score was even at 31 points. Maccabi started expanding its lead in the second half and just when the opponents approached to 6, the former was able to eventually keep the upper hand and grabbed another win to top the standings in the league.
