Maccabi survived in the big Israeli derby and beat Hapoel Tel Aviv at home 100-73.
Five players of the winners scored in double digits, with Guy Pnini and Joe Alexander leading the way with 14 points each. Gal Mekel and Devin Smith followed with 13 points, while Victor Rudd scored 11. For the opposing team, Richard Howell finished with 20 points.
Maccabi’s dominance was obvious from the very beginning, as the team led 20-9 at 6′. The deficit reached its peak at halftime, as the Yellow and Blues led 54-35 at haltime.
The show continued in the third period, this time with the hosts keeping a 77-46 lead at 30′, crashing Hapoel’s hopes to get a better result out of the game.
