Alessandro Gentile signed with Hapoel Jerusalem for the remainder of the season, as the club officially announced.
The Italian forward will thus join his third team in the 2016/2017 season, after Olimpia Milano and Panathinaikos.
Gentile, 24, began the season in Milano but reached a mutual decision with the club for his loaning to another team back in late November. He then joined Panathinakos, where his father Nando Gentile used to play, only to be waived on early March.
Although the initial plan was for him to take the rest of the season off in order to practice and train ahead of the Italian national team pre-selection for the Eurobasket 2017, he will be moving to Israel to finish the year under the guidance of Simone Pianigiani who has coached Gentile in the “Azzurri”.
