Maccabi Haifa got the 79-63 win despite 14 points by Devin Smith and 13 by Gal Mekel. After this result Maccabi Tel Aviv is third in the league standings with a 17-11 record, behind Hapoel Eilat and Hapoel Holon which are tied at 18-10.
The bad result concludes an awkward day for Maccabi, which is presented to have already made an offer to Sarunas Jasikevicius in order to replace current coach Ainars Bagatskis.
