Olympiacos will be hosting a friendly tribute game against the “Dusan Ivkovic Stars” on September 20, 2017, at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, in order to pay a tribute to coach Ivkovic.
After 40 years in duty, the Serbian coach decided to retire and both him and the Greek team wanted to put an end to this long career with a special game.
Vassilis Spanoulis commented on the upcoming event: “I am excited about this game and, at the same time, I’m grateful for all that I’ve learned from him both as a coach and as a person.”
Dusan Ivkovic himself said the following: “Greece is my second home and Olympiacos is definitely my team. I want to thank every fan of the club and especially the owners for this game. I can’t wait.”
