Maccabi Tel Aviv opened up the new 2017-2018 Super League season with a 82-68 win on the road against Hapoel Eilat. Since the first quarter (14-26), Maccabi had the upper hand in the game and used this double-digit lead until the end of the final whistle. The visitors were never seriously challenged by Hapoel, and so Maccabi got the easy win on the road.
DeShaun Thomas for the winning side finished with 16 points, while Jonah Bolden added 8 points and 11 rebounds. Maccabi is now getting ready for the first EuroLeague game on Thursday against Bamberg in Germany.
