Few days after suffering an upset at home by Buducnost in EuroCup, Hapoel Jerusalem recovered well enough to win away from home in Israeli League.
And the one responsible was Austin Daye. The American forward scored 28 points firing from all corners (6/10 2-pointers, 4/9 3s) as his team beat Hapoel Tel Aviv 100-84.
Richard Howell had 14 points while Yotam Halperin and Alen Omic dropped 11 apiece for the reigning champions.
Hapoel Tel Aviv didn’t manage to keep up with its opponents, especially in the fourth period when it got outscored 29 -19. Jeff Alen finished with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Earlier, Maccabi Tel Aviv survived Gilboa Galil on the road.
