Zalgiris prevailed over Vytautas with 97 – 54 and improved its LKL league record to 7-1 in a comfortable game.
Paulius Jankunas led the winners with 13 points and 7 boards (everything in the first half) while Antanas Kavaliauskas added 16. Denys Lukashov scored 12 points for the guests.
Zalgiris had a 25-17 lead after the first quarter. Vytautas didn’t give up and reduced the deficit momentarily (31-25, 14′) before Jasikevicius’ squad reached double-digit leads (50 – 34 at the end of the second quarter).
Hosts also improved their defense in the second half where Vytautas only scored 20 points.
Zalgiris remains second in the standings behind Lietkabelis (8-0) in the Lithuanian League.
