The league has for long years been the cradle of Lithuanian basketball, producing top-level athletes that have made the country into a powerhouse on the international stage. And now you can get information about it in English.
“We are focused on becoming one of the best leagues in Europe. The recent growth has been phenomenal, but we need an even bigger all-around effort from everyone involved to achieve this,” Betsafe LKL President Remigijus Milasius looked ahead.
According to Eurohoops rankings, LKL is among the Top10 domestic leagues in Europe. “It’s a big acknowledgment for us, but we are not going to confine ourselves to just making the Top 10. Our current goal is to climb to 7-8th spots, but we need an even bigger input from the clubs to rise even higher”, said Milasius.
