Zalgiris got the road win against Lietkabelis with 70 – 66 and improved its LKL league record to 11-1. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team suffered more than expected but they now lead the standings.
An even first half finished with an Arturas Milaknis’ three-pointer to put the visitors in front (32 – 29). Both teams improved offensively and the game was close until the end but the hosts failed to score in the last minutes.
Zanis Peiners and Adas Juskevicius led Lietkabelis in scoring with 17 and 16 respectively.
Paulius Jankunas paced the winners with 17 points while Vasilije Micic also had a positive impact off the bench with 10 points and 6 assists.
