Three days after a grand victory over EuroLeague defending champion Fenerbahce in Istanbul, Zalgiris Kaunas returned to victories in the Lithuanian League by beating Vytautas 89 – 70 on the road.
All players used by Sarunas Jasikevicius contributed their piece, with Antanas Kavaliauskas leading with 14 points and Gytis Masiulis adding 13 points plus 8 rebounds, one day after he signed a contract extension with the team.
Axel Toupane had 12 points plus 6 rebounds and Aaron White dropped 11 points to help Zalgiris improve their LKL record to 13 – 15.
Evydnas Seskusscored 19 points for Vytautas (4-11) which looks forward to adding LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball in order to escape the last spots of the standings.
