With Jonah Bolden providing a strong presence on both ends of the court, Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Hapoel Eilat 82 – 63 and improved its Israeli League record to 10 – 2 to remain at the top of the standings.
The Australian forward registered a double-double of 12 points plus 10 rebounds, had three steals and blocked his opponents five (!) times to finish with a team-high 21 in PIR in the 27 minutes he stayed on the floor.
John Dibartolomeo added 13 points and Karam Mashour 12 for the “Yellows” that didn’t face any problems despite playing without injured guard Norris Cole.
Hapoel Eilat dropped to a 5 – 7 record since Jordan Lloyd’s 24 points plus Demetrius Treadwell’s 13 plus 12 rebounds weren’t sufficient.
