Lokomotiv Kuban won its first Russian Cup in 18 years, after defeating Nizhny Novgorod in the final with 85-64.
The most valuable player of the finale was Dmitry Kulagin who had a 29-point performance along with 5 rebounds, and 6 assists. Dmitry Khvostov and Pavel Antipov were included in Best Five of the Cup, along with Alimdzhan Fedyushin and Sergey Tokarev.
Sasa Obradovic commented after the win: “I want to congratulate all people who are working here, all the fans, all doctors, all assistants, all players who did a great job. One of our goals was to win the Russian Cup. We did it the best possible way. We dominated the game, in both games and completely deserved to win the Cup.”
