After Glen Rice learned how his son Glen Rice Jr. dominated the Israeli State Cup Final, leading Hapoel Holon to the title and earning MVP honors, he also read the complaints that Maccabi Tel Aviv players had with the officiating of the match.
The 2000 NBA champion with L.A. Lakers decided to share his opinion on Twitter:
Wow I wish teams when they lose not blame refs so much, in basketball there will be calls that are missed. If they would have won their mouths would be closed. Gotta learn how to play through it, complaining only makes things worse. Norris Coles of all people know this. LEAD

When Maccabi guard DeAndre Kane told him that “he knows the refs were terrible”, Rice admitted that he didn’t see the game and he was trying to describe a mindset that players should have in order to not get affected by any frustration over the refs’ calls.
I didn't see the game so I can't give you my opinion on that my brother but what I said was only to help players who get in a game like that, how better to be prepared so it doesn't through you off your game and not hurt your play.

Kane admitted he thought he was exchanging tweets with Glen Rice Jr. and Rice Sr. then wrote the following:
I'm always gonna ride with the players and if I can help you know I will. Just trying to keep you guys focused on your mission. I'm with all of you, you guys competed and someone had to lose. I get it but stay on the MISSION, refs can't get it right all the time. They try
