Brandon Davies scored 17 points and grabbed 9 rebounds as Zalgiris Kaunas beat Nevezis 79 – 73 on the road to remain at the top of the Lithuanian LKL League with a 22 – 3 record.
This result dropped Nevezis to 6-19 and the second-to-last spot in the standings. The hosts recovered from a 33 – 8 deficit to eventually make it a two-point game, 69 – 71 but Zalgiris never allowed them to draw any closer.
Vasilije Micic and Paulius Valinskas had 13 points for Zalgiris while Arturas Milaknis added 12 points. James Woodard scored a team-high 14 for Nevezis.
Zalgiris Kaunas will now face Baskonia on Friday (15/4) for Round 26 of the EuroLeague regular season.
