Zalgiris Kaunas blew out Neptunas at home (94-47) to improve its record to 26-4. The visitors slipped to 22-8 and the third place in the standings.

Jasikevicius’ team started off the game perfectly, building an early double-digit in the first quarter (26-13). This deficit increased to 20+ points (40-17) with a 14-4 run and Antanas Kavaliauskas leading the way for the hosts. At the half, the home side was up 59-23 (!), 36 points.

This lead kept on growing, reaching a 49 point difference (90-41) in the fourth period. The game was over from the first half and the visitors could not find a way to respond.

For the winners, Kavaliauskas scored a game-high 19 points (8/8 FG), while all twelve Zalgiris’ players scored.

It is interesting to note that Neptunas did not make a single three-pointer (0/15), shot a poor 33% from the field and did not have a single player scoring double-digits.
