Stefan Jankovic entered the floor for the last offense and hit the game-winning three-pointer which saved Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade from Tamis Petrohemija’s comeback effort as they recorded an 87-86 win on Day 5 of Serbian SuperLeague.
It seemed as though Zvezda had everything under control before the last period of the game but Tamis nullified an eleven points deficit and took over the lead (85-82) after Nikola Hristov’s triple with thirty seconds left. The guests managed to score a quick layup and foul Hristov who missed one free throw leaving Zvezda a chance for the win. And they used it as Jankovic delivered a crucial three-pointer on Filip Covic’s assist with five seconds left to secure the victory.
James Feldeine led the victors with game-high 22 points while Jankovic added 14 in addition to Covic’s 11 points. On the other side, Ivan Smiljanic’s 19 and Mladen Vitkovic’s 16 points weren’t enough for Tamis in the end.
