Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade advanced to Serbian SuperLeague Finals after an 81-73 comeback win against Partizan Belgrade in Game 2.
With the score 78-73 in Red Star‘s favor and thirty seconds left, Partizan’s Mihailo Andric tried a desperate long-range triple which just barely missed. Andric was forced to foul Branko Lazic in the following possession, an unsportsmanlike fouled was called by the referees and it was all over.
Although Partizan had the biggest lead of the game (51-42) in the middle of the third quarter, Crvena Zvezda bounced back with seven straight points and eventually turned the tables.
Taylor Rochestie led the victors with game-high 23 points in addition to Stefan Jankovic’s 16. On the other side, Nigel Williams-Goss’ 20 points couldn’t change the outcome.
Zvezda’s opponent in the Finals will be the winner of the clash between FMP Belgrade and Borac Cacak. FMP won the first game while Game 2 is scheduled for Thursday 31st of May.
