Hapoel Holon beat defending champion Hapoel Jerusalem 80 – 76 in the second Israel Winner League Final to advance in the title game.
The duo of Tu Holloway and Jordan Hamilton worked wonders for Holon. Holloway finished with 24 points and forced his opponents to foul him ten times, banking 12/12 from the free throw line. Meanwhile, Hamilton posted a double-double of 22 points plus 10 rebounds.
For Hapoel Jerusalem, Stratos Perperoglou had 19 points and Jerome Dyson 18.
Holon will face Maccabi Tel Aviv, that qualified by routing archrival Hapoel Tel Aviv, Thursday (14/6) in a rematch of the State Cup Final. Maccabi will seek “vengeance” since Holon was the one to win the Cup.
