Hapoel Jerusalem forward/center TaShawn Thomas was found positive for banned substances in a test he undertook in last season’s Final Four when he played for Hapoel Holon.
Per Walla, Israeli Basketball Association just sent a letter to Hapoel Jerusalem informing the club that Thomas will be suspended pending a hearing on his case, following the test’s results.
Thomas is the second player who failed to pass a drug test in the 2018 Israeli League playoffs. Former Hapoel Jerusalem forward/center and currently naturalized player for the Israeli national team Richard Howell was also found positive for banned substances in a test conducted after Game 1 quarterfinals against Gilboa Galil.
