Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion beat Maccabi Tel Aviv (86-77) in the quarterfinals of the Israeli Winner Cup. The Israeli defending champs had an off night with Michael Roll with 14 points and Jeremy Pargo with 10 being the top scorers of coach Neven Spahija’s team.
“Our opponents were a team and we are not”, said after the game Spahija who was ejected with two technical fouls from the game.
Deshawn Stephens with 19 points was the top scorer of the winners.
