Jon Axel Gudmundsson posted his third NCAA double-double in Davidson’s (8-1) 99-81 win against Winthrop (4-4). The Icelandic guard poured 24 points and grabbed ten boards, also notched six assists and one steal in 39 minutes. Luka Brajkovic added 18 points, Dusan Kovasevic ten and David Czerapowicz three, while Micheal Anumba had four points and seven assists for the losing side.
Slovak sophomore Marek Dolezaj had two points, five rebounds and two assists in Syracuse’s (6-2) 72-49 win against Northeastern (4-5). Shaquille Walters notched one rebound and one assist for the Huskies, injured Vasa Pusica remained on the sidelines.
Freshman Matthias Tass didn’t score in Saint Mary’s (5-4) 93-61 victory over Bethune-Cookman (4-5). However, the Estonian forward grabbed two rebounds in seven minutes.
