Following three EuroLeague seasons and 58 NBA games, Andrew Goudelock pursued his Chinese option signing with the Shandong Golden Stars for the 2018-19 season. Up to last Thursday, he played in 19 CBA games and averaged 23.3 points, but suffered a serious patellar injury.
He isn’t expected to play again this year, but that’s not his only issue. He went on writing on his personal Twitter account about his problems with the Golden Stars. He desires to return to the United States to have surgery, but can’t agree with his team on the terms of him leaving China.
“I have a major injury and I’m not being allowed permission to go home, to have surgery. They want me to leave first so they don’t have to pay me. How is this allowed? I only have a small window before this becomes more serious” Goudelock wrote.
