Two overtimes were needed to decide the winner of the clash between Maccabi Ashdod and Maccabi Tel Aviv as the latter came out on top with a 104-100 road win.
Ashdod’s Paul Stoll who finished the game with 30 points scored two free throws for the first overtime (83-83) while Yovel Zoosman who scored 15 points did the same for the Tel Aviv squad to secure one more overtime (90-90). The last five minutes also went down to the wire but the guests managed to pull away a bit and secure the game with free throws.
Zoosman also added 12 rebounds while Johny O’Bryant banked 20 points and 11 boards in addition to John Dibartolomeo’s 17 points.
Stoll also added ten assists for Ashdod while Mark Tollefsen nailed 31 points and 10 rebounds followed by Lis Shoshi’s 25 points.
Maccabi Tel Aviv improved to 12-3 while Ashdod stands at a 5-10 record now.
