The Greek coach praised the Israeli league, following Maccabi Tel Aviv’s victory over Hapoel Jerusalem paced by an incredible performance by Scottie Wilbekin on Sunday.
“The Israeli league is stronger than the Greek league. It wasn’t like that in the past”, commented Sfairopoulos, who was well experienced in Greece prior to moving to Israel.
When asked about Maccabi’s power, he was pretty assertive. “I definitely believe that we are the strongest team in Israel. There is no question about. However, any team can beat you in Israel”.
