Zalgiris Kaunas enjoyed a comfortable 88-70 home victory against visiting Pieno zvaigzdes in the Lithuanian League and they continue to lead the race with a 22-3 record.
Deon Thompson stepped up for the winners with 13 points and five rebounds, while Edgaras Ulanovas and Rokas Jokubaitis followed with 12 and 11 points each.
Pieno zvaigzdes’ Yannick Franke posted a game-high performance with 20 points and five rebounds.
Things may not have turned as successful for Sarunas Jasikevicius’ squad this season, but their big quest remains the LKL title, now that the team has been eliminated from the EuroLeague playoffs.
