Texas Tech secured a NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 spot by defeating Buffalo, 78-58. The defense made the difference for the Red Raiders, but Davide Moretti’s 11 points helped out as well. The Italian sophomore guard added four rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes. French freshman forward Josh Mballa didn’t score in minimum action.
French sophomore forward Yves Pons only played five minutes and tallied one rebound for Tennessee that beat Iowa, 83-77, in overtime. Finn sophomore center Hannes Polla didn’t get on the board for Oklahoma that lost 63-51 to Virginia.

In NIT action, Danish sophomore center Asbjorn Midtgaard helped Wichita State go by Clemson, 63-55, with six points, three rebounds and one block. Icelandic sophomore guard Thorir Thorbjarnarson had eight points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals for Nebraska that lost to TCU, 88-72.
