Alex Tyus put on a near-perfect performance and led Maccabi Tel Aviv in a convincing 88-70 win over Gilboa Galil in the Israeli League.
Tyus shot 8-10 from the field on his way to 16 points while also adding six rebounds, two steal a block and an assist. Johnny O’Bryant notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards in addition to Jeremy Pargo’s 11 points.
For Gilboa Galil, Ian Miller nailed game-high 21 points followed by Greg Witington’s 15 points and nine assists. James Kelly helped with 14 points.
Maccabi improved to 22-6 and stayed safe at the top of the standings in front of Hapoel Holon (20-7) while Gilboa Galil now holds an 11-17 record and is still in the chase for a playoff spot.
