Zalgiris Kaunas is the 2018-2019 Lithuanian League champion. Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team crushed Rytas Vilnius 92 – 54 in Game 3 of the LKL Finals to sweep the series.
This is the ninth consecutive Lithuanian championship title for Zalgiris and 32th the history of the club overall.
Edgaras Ulanovas scored 15 points while Aaron White added 13 points and Brandon Davies 13 points plus six rebounds for Zalgiris. The latter two received a standing ovation by the crowd in Zalgirio Arena when they were substituted never to return to the match.
Martynas Echodas (17 points, five rebounds) and Artsiom Parakhouski (14 points) stood out for Rytas. Their team never managed to become competitive since Zalgiris stormed into the match to take a 20 – 9 lead at the end of the first quarter and kept increasing its advantage as the game progressed.
