Newcomer Darius Adams had a team-high 19 points to lead Team Hines over Brotherly Love, 88-75. Kyle Hines contributed 18 points on 6-for-7 shooting in the win and Matt Lojeski added 14 points. Samme Givens had a game-high 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting to pace the offense for Brotherly Love.
It was all about Maccabi in the Overseas Elite 86-73 win over Loyalty is Love. DeAndre Kane led all scorers with 18 points, Jeremy Pargo and DJ Kennedy had 15 points apiece for the winners, which battled back from an 11-2 first-quarter deficit to win its 29th consecutive game over five summers. Pierre Jackson had 13 points to pace the offense in the losing effort for Loyalty is Love. With the exception of DJ Kennedy, all other three players have been members of Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv.
In the semifinals, the Overseas elite will play against Carmen’s Crew which beat Eberlein Drive 79-71 despite 27 points by Jerome Randle. Team Hines will compete against the Golden Eagles which beat Jackson TN Underdawgs 79-62 behind Jamil Wilson and his 26 points, including a three-pointer to hit the Target Score.
