The Beijing Ducks secured Jeremy Lin’s services, the Chinese team announced on Tuesday. The 31-year-old guard was a free agent since July following his stint with the NBA champions, Toronto Raptors.
The American-born of Chinese and Taiwanese descent player will make his way to China after nine NBA seasons. Aside the Raptors he joined midway through the 2018-19 season, Lin played for the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks, the Houston Rockets, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Charlotte Hornets, the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks.
The Harvard alumni went undrafted back in 2010, but made a name for himself creating the “Linsanity” craze with his impressive showings for the Knicks in 2012. Despite his massive popularity rise, he fell out of favor later in his NBA career.
The first Asian-American to win an NBA championship will join forces with Ekpe Udoh and Justin Hamilton at the Ducks. His new side is already among the early favorites for a long run in the 2019-20 CBA season.
