Hapoel Jerusalem outlasted a tough battle at the Winner Cup final against Maccabi Tel Aviv, yet with an 84-83 victory, they get to lift their first trophy for the season.
James Feldeine paced Hapoel in this victory with a team-high performance of 21 points and three rebounds.
Elijah Brown posted 18 points and seven rebounds for Maccabi, followed by Omri Casspi who finished with 14 points and five rebounds.
The game turned out to be intense between the two teams, with Hapoel taking charge in the final period of the game, keeping a short lead against Giannis Sfairopoulos’ squad. Tarik Black went to the free-throw line to trim the deficit to one point with a few seconds remaining in the game, but Hapoel sealed the final result in its favour.
