The rumors have been going on for several days, and now Panathinaikos made it official: Aleksander Balcerowski signed a two-year deal with the green-and-white EuroLeague powerhouse, which paid Gran Canaria 500k for his buyout.
Before playing in the 2023 NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics, he averaged 8.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game in the EuroCup to help Gran Canaria win it all while being named Rising Star of the competition for the second time in his career.
At EuroBasket 2022 with the Polish national team, instead, the 22-year-old promising center was an important asset in Poland’s path to 4th place in the tournament, averaging 10.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.
The Polish center is only the latest arrival for Ergin Ataman’s team following Kostas Sloukas, Luca Vildoza, Mathias Lessort, Jerian Grant, Ioannis Papapetrou, Dinos Mitoglou, Dimitris Moraitis, Kyle Guy, Kostas Antetokounmpo, and Juancho Hernangómez.
Welcome to our Green squad, Aleksander Balcerowski ☘️💪🏼
