David Lighty hadn’t scored a basket in the match between ASVEL and Chalon-Reims until he drained the game-winner nearly at the buzzer to hand his team a 68 – 66 victory on the road. Thanks to this win, the reigning champions remain at the top of the French Jeep Elite standings at 19 – 2.

Adreian Payne was named MVP of the game after finishing with 17 points plus eight rebounds for ASVEL. Edwin Jackson contributed 14 points and Livio Jean-Charles 12 points.
For Chalon-Reims, that dropped to 8 – 13, Johan Passave-Ducteil finished with 14 points, Yannis Morin had 13 points plus seven rebounds and Jimmy Baron 12 points.
Second-placed Monaco defeated fourth Boulazac to capture extend its winning streak to 10-0 and remain at a one-win distance from ASVEL. Third in the standings Dijon faces fifth Bourg-en-Bresse on Sunday.
