JDA Dijon beat Bourg-en-Bresse, 104-79, on Friday evening to advance to the Leaders Cup semifinal round. David Holston scored 12 points, also dished out 13 assists setting a new record for the most dimes in a single Leaders Cup affair.
Just last year, in the 2019 edition of the Leaders Cup, the former Chicago State standout set another competition record with 35 points to his name. However was not enough for a semifinals berth in the eight-team tournament held at Paris.
The 2020 Leaders Cup will continue on Saturday with his Dijon colliding with AS Monaco. LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne will take on Levallois in the other semifinal.
Laurent Legnam’s team also awaits the draw for the Basketball Champions League playoffs. Will have the home-court advantage in the best-of-three series against Filou Oostende, Nizhny Novgorod or San Pablo Burgos.
