Guerschon Yabusele scored a game-high 22 points in 25 minutes to lead ASVEL Villeurbanne to a 101 – 85 win over Le Mans in his French League return since 2016. Yabusele had already played two EuroLeague matches with the team but just made his Jeep Elite debut vs. Le Mans.
In the 25 minutes he spent on the court, Yabusele shot 8/13 from the field, including 4/6 3-pointer. He also grabbed five rebounds and dished out three assists for a game-high 25 PIR.
Brandon Taylor had 18 points and Terry Tarpey 13 for Le Mans which is now 11-14.
Tonye Jekiri added 15 points and five rebounds while Rihards Lomazs scored 12 to help ASVEL improve its record to 20- 4 and remain close to top-placed Monaco (21-3). The latter left Dijon on the second spot after beating them 80 – 67 at home.
The postponed Round 24 match between ASVEL and Monaco is scheduled for Wednesday 10/3.
