The 2019-2020 French Jeep Elite season is effectively over.
In a declaration, French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said that no major sports competitions can be held before September and that this essentially means that the rest of the season will be shut down.
“The 2019-2020 professional sports season, including the football season, won’t be able to resume,” Philippe said.
LNB had already given up on trying to restart the season before September when French president Emmanuel Macron announced that no public event will take place in the country until mid-July.
The Jeep Elite League was first suspended on March 11 and was afterward further postponed indefinitely. All other basketball competitions in France have been canceled.
