Limoges announced the signing of former NBA forward Bruno Caboclo. The 25-year-old Brazilian player arrives at Limoges to replace injured forward Romeo Travis.
This will be Caboclo’s first stint in European basketball after playing 107 games during six and a half seasons in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies and the Houston Rockets. He had been a free agent after the Rockets waived him in January.
“He’s a talented player who has spent his entire career in the USA and who was looking to move to Europe,” Limoges Sports Director Crawford Palmer said, per the club. “I think we’ve found a versatile and physical ‘4’ who will adapt quickly in the French League. He’s a player who doesn’t need to register stats to have an impact on the game and his major role with the Brazilian national team is proof of this. He will give us a physical dimension that can help us without disrupting the collective we’re trying to build.”
