Jaron Johnson was on fire for Dijon with 20 points on 8-11 shooting and led the team to a 96-64 win over Roanne. With this win, Dijon improved to 24-7 and is currently occupying the top of the standings but most importantly, they have secured the home-court advantage for the first round of the playoffs.
Robin Ducote added 15 while David Holston and Axel Julien had 12 points each. On the opposing squad, Juvonte Reddic scored 12 and Boubacar Toure ten points.
Meanwhile, in perhaps the derby of the round, JL Bourg managed to take a 94-86 road win over the EuroCup champions Monaco. Pierre Pelos scored 31 and Danilo Andjusic 25 points.
The highest-scoring performance of the round was seen in Pau-Lacq-Orthez’s win over Chalon/Saone as CJ Williams went off for 31 points on 8-10 from the three-point territory.
Following Dijon in the standings, ASVEL holds a 23-7 record after yesterday’s loss, Monaco 22-7, and Strasbourg 20-10. JL Bourg has 21-11, Levallois 18-13, and three teams follow with 17 wins each – Le Mans, Limoges, Orleans.
