ASVEL was on a 5-0 winning streak across all competitions but Paris Basketball made sure to stop them with an 82-79 home win in the French League.
Kyle Allman led the charge with 21 points on 7-12 shooting while also grabbing eight rebounds and dishing four assists. Ismael Kamagate followed with 16 and Juhann Begarin with 15 points.
Kyle O’Quinn added 12. For ASVEL, Elie Okobo had 24 points on 8-14 shooting while Charles Kahudi helped with 15 and William Howard with ten points.
The game was full of ups and downs with the lead switching sides but Paris had an upper hand. ASVEL put on multiple comeback efforts including late in the fourth quarter as they cut the gap to five (74-69) with a bit over three minutes remaining.
However, O’Quinn scored four straight points to keep them away and create enough space for Paris to close the game, despite Chris Jones banking in a triple to give ASVEL a shot at overtime. Unfortunately for the guests, Okobo couldn’t make the final shot go in.
