JL Bourg bounced back from a three-game losing streak in the French League to take down AS Monaco in spectacular fashion with an 88-63 win.
Alexandre Chassang and Maxim Courby combined 40 points (21 and 19 respectively) to lead the way for Bourg that finally improved to a 4-3 record in the standings. Axel Julien followed with 14 points and Rasheed Sulaimon had 10, as Bourg managed to take a 49-33 lead after the first 20 minutes and never looked back.
Monaco that also suffered a tough defeat against Olympiacos on the road on Friday got 12 points by Mike James, Danilo Adjusic tapped 11 points and Paris Lee posted 10. This was the second defeat of the season for Zvezdan Mitrovic’s squad in France and the team falls to a 5-2 record.
Earlier this weekend, Paris Basketball (2-5) also snapped back to defeat ASVEL (5-2).
