Coming in knotted at 15-6 on top of the French League standings, Boulogne Metropolitans 92 beat LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, 83-81, Sunday evening.

Despite missing all four attempts from beyond the arc, Temple product Will Cummings poured a game-high 29 points behind 8/12 two-pointers in the Betclic Elite LNB Pro A Regular Season Round 21 fixture. Keith Hornsby put in 14 more points, Vince Hunter had 12 points to go along with seven rebounds, and Jordan McRae added ten points, four assists, and three rebounds.

The hosts, led by experienced tactician Vincent Collet, squandered a 16-point lead but narrowly held on down the stretch. At the end of the day, the hosts jumped to 16-6 and dropped T.J. Parker’s side to 15-7.

The visiting team sidelined Elie Okobo (shoulder), Raymar Morgan (back), and James Gist. Former Ohio State standout David Lighty returned to action generating a team-high 15 points, while Chris Jones ended up with 14 points. AS Monaco follows in third place packing a 14-7 W-L tally, while Le Mans currently holds a 13-7 record in fourth place.

Shifting back to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, ASVEL is scheduled to host Bitci Baskonia Thursday. The team out of Lyon will attempt to snap the six-game losing streak and improve to 8-15 in Europe’s premier club continental competition.

As for Collet and Metropolitans 92, they are set to welcome the Hamburg Towers in France Wednesday. Sitting at 8-5, the Levallois-Perret team ranks fourth in Group A of the 7DAYS EuroCup Regular Season.
