Elie Okobo put on a strong performance and led ASVEL to an 86-74 home win over Le Mans in the French league.
Okobo logged 21 points as the top scorer of the match while Youssoupha Fall and David Lighty followed with 14 each. Victor Wembanyama added 12 points and six rebounds.
On the opposing side, Brynton Lemar scored 16 in addition to Williams Narace’s 15 and Matthieu Gauzin’s 14 points.
With this win, ASVEL remained in the chase for the top seed with a 23-8 record, the same as the first-placed Levallois. Monaco also holds the same pace with 22-8 in third. Le Mans now holds a 16-14 record in the eighth spot but is far from safe in the playoff zone.
